139 5th graders registered for band this fall. Wow, what a turn out. Thank you for your
encouragement and support.

Spring events are right around the corner. The Jazz band will be performing at JazzFest at Kahler Middle School, Thursday May 8th at 7pm. Tickets are $5.00 at the door. Our Spring concert is Tuesday, May 20th at 7pm in the Grimmer Gym. All bands will be performing. A reception will follow in the cafe. Tickets are $4.00 pre-concert, and $5.00 at the door.
Summer is coming and band events are being planned.... The Great America trip is Saturday, May 31st.
6th grade band camp is July 28 thru Aug 6th. 9am - 11:30am at GMS.
Deep River band trip is Aug. 6th following the summer concert that morning.
Grimmer Middle School has a music tradition that is strong, vibrant and very much alive. All facets of the program from the rhythms of the general music class, to the voices lifted in song, from the bell choir that "started it all" in the corporation to a band sound that reflects practice, dedication and commitment.
The Grimmer band staff and students are all focused on creating a sound and developing the skills that will help students participate in music in an enjoyable and exciting way for the rest of their lives. If you haven't been to a concert, be sure you plan to attend one this year. You'll be amazed, impressed and entertained. I always am.
