6th Grade Ensemble
Welcome to the Grimmer Bands!!! My name is David Gore and I am the Director of Bands at Grimmer Middle School. I hope that your summer has been relaxing and fun. The new school year is right around the corner and I am excited about working with you this year. You are in for an exciting year here in the Grimmer Band! Not only will we be learning to play those instruments, we will be showing off how well we are doing. I am working on a schedule of events for this year and will send it out once all dates are finalized. Performances this year include the Winter Concert in December, Festival concert in March, and the Spring concert in May. Other events may be added to the schedule. I love an opportunity to show the area what great things are going on in Band!! Our 6th grade beginning band camp is July 30th - Aug 10th. You should have received the camp information and registration letter earlier this summer. I am really looking forward to getting to know all of you at this camp and starting the year off on the right note :. If you did not receive the information, please call me at school 865-6985 X208 or my cell (434) 250 1724. Grimmer Band T-shirts will be on sale this fall. What a great way to promote the band to other students and friends. We will be wearing them at several of the performances, so make sure your child gets one in September. That's all for now.
