7th Grade Ensemble
Welcome back!!! I hope you had a great summer!! I am excited about this upcoming year at Grimmer and I hope you are looking forward to a great year in band and in school. I am working on a schedule of events for this year and will send it out once all dates are finalized. Performances this fall will include the Winter Concert in December as well as possible performances at local elementary schools. As spring rolls around, we have our Festival (ISSMA) Competition in March as well as Solo/Ensemble competition. The school year ends with our spring concert and elementary school recruiting concerts. Other events are in the works like pep band for basketball games, percussion ensemble, and of course jazz band. These events will be added to the schedule once dates are decided. I love an opportunity to show the area what great things are going on in Band!! Grimmer Band T-shirts will be available this year. Don't miss out of buying one of these cool shirts. It's a great way to promote the band to other students and friends. We will be wearing them at several of the performances, so make sure you turn your order form in! Also, I need several students to play new instruments. I will be encouraging more students to play French Horn, Tuba, Oboe, Bassoon, and Baritone. These instruments will greatly enhance our 7th grade band. If you are interested in playing one of these great instruments, let me know!! That's all for now.
